Cyndi Silva: Yoga, Meditation & Wellness Student Reviews
|
"Cyndi has a very unique style of teaching that combines several styles. She teaches students, not just asana and receives guidance by being present. Therefore, at times her classes are very meditative and other times highly charged. In addition, Cyndi has command of anatomy and uses this to align poses to the students to create a sense of sacred space for all who come to the practice. Cyndi is a joy to have as an instructor."

"I've been studying with Cyndi for 7 years. I keep coming back in part because even though Cyndi incorporates the spiritual vibe you'd expect in a yoga class, she begins with the material, the physical, the technical. Cyndi is concrete in her instruction: this allows students to try new things, which increases our strength, stamina, balance, and often joy. My husband loves it. Cyndi is also relentlessly curious and imaginative, so her classes are beautifully scaffolded and no two are ever alike."

"I feel so blessed to have Cyndi for my yoga teacher. Her humble personality comes through in her calm and encouraging voice as she uses her gift and knowledge of yoga to transition you from one pose to another. Her genuine care and passion of yoga is transferred to her students as she guides us to go a little deeper and informs us of the benefits of the poses in a very loving way. I always leave her class feeling completely refreshed."

"Cyndi is great because she understands the range of abilities class participants have, incorporating the beginner and advanced student seamlessly. She is able to push each of us to our own personal best. I benefit greatly from her gentle reminders on form and breathing as well as the invitation to use yoga as a spiritual journey not just a physical workout. I am thankful to have her as an instructor."

"In 5+ years of taking yoga classes from Cyndi, no two sessions have ever been similar-- each time she creates a session with its own intention and flow. She helps us to focus and breathe. Though we all lack flexibility in one or another area of our bodies, we learn, by her skillful teaching, myriad ways to stretch ourselves in the postures. Each class is an exciting experience, packed with diverse ways to learn to know our bodies. I hate to miss a one."

"I really enjoy Cyndi's style of yoga. She keeps things fresh and interesting, and most importantly she keeps it challenging no matter what level your at. The biggest benefit other than gained flexability is no more chiropractic visits. I used to have to go 2 to 4 times a year. I am in my 3rd year of yoga and have not been there since."

"I originally started yoga to help my flexibility. Little did I know how much yoga can calm your mind, body and soul. Cyndi taught us breathing exercises and yoga routines that really made yoga fun. I would leave class everyday totally at ease and almost light feeling. I really enjoyed beginners yoga and can't wait to join again the the fall."

"I've been taking yoga/pilates classes from Cyndi for the past 6 years and there's a reason that I keep going back! Even after 6 years, she offers something new in every class. It is never routine or boring. She's always introducing new things that she has learned and gently challenging us to try new positions and meditations. I always leave class feeling very relaxed and re-energized!"

"My yoga experience with Cyndi started when she began teaching classes.I've had the opportunity to experience her growth as an instructor and her development of techniques and routines. She continues to learn all she can about practicing yoga for the benefit of all her students. Yoga has taught me how to relax, has strengthened my core, kept me limber, and in touch with what's going on with my body. I truly enjoy attending Cyndi's yoga classes. Best of all, along with many other class participants, we have all become good friends and enjoy seeing each other every week. Another benefit of yoga classes with Cyndi."

"I have done yoga sporadically since my early twenties (I'm 62) and decided it was time to make a greater, regular commitment towards my own health, physical strength and serenity. Cyndi provides a wonderful blend of challenge and gentle guidance for each indivdual and the collective class that keeps me looking forward to my Wednesday mornings week after week."
